About Us
Bengali Association of Kentucky was formed as a 501(c) (3) approved non-profit organization (Registered as Tri State Durga Puja KY Inc.) in 1988. We are a 36 years old, socio-cultural organization built on the core values of Philanthropy, Culture and Inclusiveness. We pride ourselves in hosting various cultural events in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. We primarily organize Indian (Eastern part of India a.k.a. Bengalis) & Bangladeshi social and cultural programs in the Kentucky State (Louisville, Lexington etc.), including annual Tri State Durga Puja Festival in collaboration with Tri-State area (Indiana, Ohio & Kentucky) which uphold the ethos of Bengali community, diversity, and inclusion. The main purpose of this organization is to promote the cultural and educational activities of Bengalis (People who are connected with the roots of West Bengal, India and Bangladesh) especially amongst the second and later generation Bengalis, foster a spirit of friendship and cooperation between its members through social activities, and highlight the cultural heritage of Bengalis, in its external activities. Thus, the mission of this organization is to be a complementary organization and not become a competitive one with other organizations.
Our Mission

To organize and conduct cultural events that foster the rich and inclusive tradition and heritage of the Indian (Bengali) culture to further the American multi-cultural environment

To serve the need of local community and other communities in need by participating in various volunteer, charitable activities that address food insecurity and humanitarian issues.

Organize and conduct community outreach events and fundraisers to collect funds for charitable causes
Giving Back to Community
We organize community outreach programs to 'Give Back to Community' through out the year where our members spend their time, efforts and generous donations to support the population in need in our local community. We are a diverse and inclusive Indian community that mainly include members from the eastern part India. Our Goal is to Promote Culture through the services and events across Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio.
